Yes, I know I’ve been sucking on the blog front lately, but life is kinda weird right now and I’m easily distracted. Despite all of the insanity, I have to remind myself that I have several things to be thankful for right now:<\/p>\n
1. I got a TA!!! for next semester. woo hoo! no student loans!<\/p>\n
2. The OM got a TA for next semester! even more no student loans!<\/p>\n
3. the OM is almost done with her qualifying review and will be far less cranky\/insane.<\/p>\n
4. Gwenda and Christopher are in town.<\/p>\n
5. The Geography department at UK is exactly right for me and they are here where I am. Of course, I may change my tune next semester when the fur is flying, but right now they are a bunch of Marxist freaks who like the fact that I come from an art\/advertising\/indie musician background and I write fiction. They also don’t seem phased when I start rambling about string theory, beckenstein’s bound, or evolutionary biology. And they hate the myth of objectivity as much as I do.<\/p>\n
